March 2017 - National Tree Week

Room 8 were delighted to have the opportunity to plant our very own tree during National Tree Week. The strawberry tree was kindly donated by Apple Green and  presented to our class by Mr. Graeme Price and 3 other Apple Green staff members. All of the children had the opportunity to use a trowel and help plant our new tree. The Apple Green staff then visited our classroom and judged a colouring competition. Kyle and Sarah were awarded first place, Rían and Rida second place & Connor and Rose third place. But no one was left empty handed as Apple Green kindly supplied all of the children with an apple, banana and Kinder Joy egg. A special thank you to Brendan for digging the hole and helping us on the day. We really enjoyed it! (The winning colouring competition entries are now displayed in the Apple Green store on the M1 - Lusk South)
