April 2017 - Life in the classroom!

We are learning about the life cycle of the frog and we now have some tadpoles in Room 8. We are watching them very closely and observing how they grow. They should start growing back legs soon. Eventually they will turn in to rana temporaria frogs.

 We also have a chrysalis in our classroom. Very soon it should hatch and become a  Pieris Rapae, also known as a white cabbage butterfly. As soon as it hatches we will release it outside.

Unfortunately our classroom chrysalis hatched on Friday the 7th of April, just a few hours after all the children had gone home for the Easter holidays!
